Hey People. Got to Stone Town OK. Ferry was a decent journey.
Got a taxi to our accommodation which is nice but very small. Not bad for $10. We get breakfast aswell.
Stone Town is a freaking maze. We walked the wrong way down a road for about 30 minutes so got a taxi back. Then some guy showed us around the town for $10 which was well worth it.
The place is amazing. Much quieter and more friendly than Kenya. It is just a maze of alleys and streets with no names.
We've booked a bus to the North Coast tomorrow and are staying in some Bungalow. It's the party place so hopefully will have a good day on the beach and a good night out. Then it's back on the bus for the rest of the day in Stone Town, where we will have more time to see the sights and take some pictures.
We are getting the night ferry back which takes 8 hours, landing in Dar es Salaam at 6am and then our coach back to Mombasa leaves at 8:30am.
To be honest, Stone Town is a little dull. It's a place I would definitely not miss, but also a place I couldn't stay for more than one night.
Send me some emails, let me know how life is going. I like reading them.
