It`s race day here in Sucre, Bolivia. We came to the capital yesterday and it just so happens to be the annual South American rally here. Most of the roads are closed so you can`t go anywhere but the atmosphere is great. Cars and bikes come thundering through the main square which is rammed full of people and screech round the corners narrowly missing the spectators before roaring back out the square. The cars aren`t so bad as they are racing against time but the bikes race in groups of 10-15 and one has just crashed into a wall along the street thankfully missing the crowd. The ambulance has just raced up and thrown him in the back so that the race can continue!!
Sucre is a beautiful city but once again very european. We think we will therefore leave tomorrow night on the bus (hopefully withought Llamas going to be sacrificed) for La Paz, the shopping capital for anything made from Llama wool. Still travelling with the group we met on our salt planes tour although some are leaving for la Paz tonight and other will be heading there over the next few days.
Hope you are all well and keep up the messages we love to hear from you.
