Awake early, 4am. Walked along seaside promenade (called Lungomare) for about 12km. Through groves of pines and oak trees, above were massive seafront houses/palaces of the rich and famous. Small coves along the way which you could stop and swim at. Got a bus back to Lovran from Opatija. Hot and sunny and water warm. Back to villa for a quick rest as all feeling a bit tired.
