One quick stop over turned into two nights (more would have been grand) and this lovely, small town in northern Argentina.
We had a cabin and our hostel overlooked the town, where lee sits in this picture, he is facing the mountains, we watched the sun set from there.
More eating and drinking, this is the place where I had llama caserole and we watched Peña music, traditional folklore music, with a steak and mash, I bet Lee he would not get mash (I think he dreampt about it and started talking about trying to find mash) and I lost.
Also did half of a five km march to see some cool rock formation but the altitude got us and we turned around. NB doing the Inca Trail in July........
Watched some Argentines play Sunday football too, that was fun.
Would highly recommend this place for a stop over, longer if possible. Set in colourful mountains, the drive the border is cool too. The border crossing took three hours and then there was a bus strike in Bolivia, another story. Adios to Argentina, a beautiful and easy country to travel, hello to Bolivia, bus strikes, dickie bellies and road blockades :o)
