Well, for those who dont know, I found a job. Not exactly the one month job I intended on getting, but still. I am nannying for an Austrian family in Fulham, and will be here for at least a year (slightly longer than the seven months I had origianlly planned). However I am loving it, and really getting to experience London, and also plan to visit many other places on my days off.
So far I have just been adjusting to the work (very differnent from Summer Camp), and settling myself into the area. The kids are OK, if not slightly spoilt and slight pains, but usually they can be good. Plus I get paid, and have my own room, and TV and all that. I find however that I am doing a lot of cleaning, rather than nannying, but I think it is a good chance to get away from the kids, as the parents do quite a bit.
I have done a bit of the touristy stuffin London. Went to Buckingham Palace (but didnt see the changing of the guard, so going back for that ), also saw the Big Ben, and London Eye. All this was just a short tour of the place as I know I will come back later during the next year (plenty of time after all). Also been to West End, Covent Garden area, and Picadilly. Also went to Kew Gardens the other day, did a quick tour of there before I had to pick up the eldest boy from school. Have almost too much free time, and doing a lot of chillaxing (camp word).
The area where I live is across the road from the Chelsea Footbal Stadium, so I will be attending a game at some stage. But the crowds after a game are insane, they block the whole road, and fill up all the shops and stuff. And because of the location of the house I always seem to be wlaking against the tide rather than with them. It is quiet scary, but also cool.
Well, getting sick, because of the disgusing weather, so off to bed now.
(By the way Campeys, heading to Scotland in November, cant wait)
