This morning We were headed to Costa Rica it was a 7-9 hr drive. I'd wished that I hadn't drank the moonshine, which costa a total of $1.50 USD. We departed at 5.45 to catch a ferry back to main land! We were on a much smaller ferry with less people which was quiet a treat!
It started to rain, so we jumped in a taxi, to the bus station, then caught a local/chicken bus to the boarder which was about 3hrs away!
The bus was packed so most of us were Jamed in the back standing holding on for dear life!
Due to the lack of stops we arrived earlier than expected, then we had the boarder to cross.
Apparently this boarder is quiet tedious and that what we experienced, so instead of us going through the drama you pay a local to get you through the system quicker! Even if they do disappear with your passport for a few minutes.
Once stamped out of Nicaragua, we walked 1km in the mud through no mans land then hit the Costa Rican boarder got stamped, bobs your uncle!
We were all hungry or hungover so we sat down and ate friend chicken and chips, the most delicious I have ever eaten!
We had private transfer to Monte Verdi, and arrived late afternoon as the road was horrendous! We were all tried, the dress attire was long pants and a jumper! We got pizza delivered and went to bed!
