Kuala Lumpur airport is amazing. Extremely modern and freakishly clean. Very quiet and almost soothing which is weird for an airport. Arrived in Kl about 6.30pm and flight is not scheduled to leave until 10.45. Had no sleep on plane from Heathrow though the seats are much more comfortable on Malaysia Airlines than any other I've travelled. Only problem was, I didn't realise that the button on the armrest on the right was for the firmness of the seat so I made mine all soft and squidgy and gave myself a bad back so spent most of the flight stood in the walkway at the back trying to stretch my back out.

Toilets at KL airport are interesting - they flush themselves. Must be on motion sensor. Also, there is an airport shuttle which comes right into the airport in a see through tunnel which is really cool.

Couldnt locate a cashpoint though which means that I had to spend four hours with nothing to drink which was awful as I was dehdrating from the flight.

By far the best thing about KL airport is the fact that they have seats with relaxed backs and raised legs so you can almost lie down while you're waiting - why do they not have these at Heathrow??
