London to Cork.
In a car.
A Month exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
With 2 children aged 2 and aged 5 months.
Are
We
Mad?!
The plan to do an extended holiday in Ireland exploring the West coast was an idea Ed and I first chatted about at uni. I loved the idea of exploring different areas of Ireland I'd hardly, or never been to. We knew it would be beautiful and we knew we would have loads of fun, but it's taken us 13 years since we had that conversation to get around to it!
The dormant idea really took hold last summer. We now had a car (Ed being the only driver - I've still not managed it!) and we had just discovered that we were expecting our second child in Feb 2015. It meant I would be off work for the duration of Ed's school summer holiday. The small matter of having 2 babies in tow, rather than discourage us, invigorated us. What better way could we spend the summer?
And so here we are in July 2015.
And suddenly the romantic idea seems a little less romantic and a little more like madness as the logistics of packing a family of 4 into the car for the month seems a bit overwhelming!
But we make it through the first hurdle and hit the road at 11.20 on Wed 22 July... Let the adventure begin!!
