Buon compleanno a me!!!!! Had an amazing day today. Fresh croissants for breakfast and then off to the Pantheon to meet my guide for the My Rome Food Tour. Spent the next 4 hours with guide Irene (originally from Holland) and Alex and Heather from Philladelphia. Loving the gelato atmosphere. Everyone is walking the streets eating gelato. Have found the most popular place near where I am staying. Having Gelato is like meeting for a wine back home. Have it on your way home, on your way to somewhere or simply just because!!!!!!

I have arrived!!!!!! Just checked in to my hotel which is actually part of a residential establishment and takes up the 3rd and 4th floors. Off to explore. St Peters is close. Hoping to try my first gelato!!!!
