It was so strange coming to Sydney after 2 and a half months in Asia, the weather wasn't great either so it felt like we were back in England. All the backpackers seemed to be wearing Topshop latest fashions and I realised my Asia travel clothes (bit of wear and tear) weren't quite up to the western city standards any longer, so a quick trip to Target was in order (Ozzy Primark). We went up to Darling Harbour and saw Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. There are lots of Irish pubs so we had to visit a few of them. We were planning on doing the Sky walk, a huge tower over Sydney that would give you great views if the whole city, but we didn't have enough time. Chris was told he had definitely got his job up near Brisbane so we had lots to sort out, so we weren't able to do much sightseeing, but we will be coming back to Sydney so we will do it all then, and there is so much to do there. We are now in Ipswich just outside Brisbane as Chris has got a job here. It's seems Ok, a lot smaller than the big cities but all the people are really friendly and there seem to be lots of great places to go nearby, including a few wineries!! I've missed some good wine.
