So we made it! We arrived into GIG airport, Rio De Janeiro about 10pm last night after an 11 hour journey.....pretty knackered still! Got picked up by the hostel taxi and taken straight here for our free welcome cocktails...and a few more beers, then pretty lamely we went straight to bed! Spent today wandering around the area. From the end of the street our hostel 'El Misti' is on you can see Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer aand right infront of us is Botafago beach! Spent today on Copacabana trying not to look so British and shiny white. Bbq tonight and maybe a street party/samba club in Lapa. Booked a day tour of Rio for tomorrow so we can get our bearings so pictures coming soon!
