Ok, so the blog has not really been updateed that frequently. The paradox is that as im travelling around all over the place my internet access is variable and so the blog doesnt get updated. Further to this paradox, when I finally get back to Montreal and get back into a routine I will have heaps of time to update the blog BUT I wont be doing anything interesting except uni and a few small trips here and there! Anyhow a brief summary to date:
10/12 - 18/12 --> Flew to Calagry (West Coast) to stay with my mate Eric his better half Tara. We went to Calgary Zoo, Banff Nat Park, and a Natural History Museum (that I cant remeber the name of right now). We had such an awesome time and under Eric's guidence we sampled many of the pubs (and beers) that Calgary has to offer.
18/12 - 22/12 --> Moved into our appartment in Montreal. Soooo excellent. Large, well lit, and FULLY FURNISHED! Almost too good to be true. Jai did an awesome job finding it and negotiating the deal.
22/12 - Now --> In New Orleans with Jai at Jai's cousins (Rachelle) home. Everyone has been unbelievably hospitable and i feel very welcome. Not the same as Christmas at home and I'm really missing my lovely family at this time but thats to be expected and it just highlights to me how special are those i love (and who love me). We took a tour of the Cyclone Katrina affected areas, Im amazed at the devastation still evident 3 years on. The city and Bourbon street were as manic and festive beyond belief. Its wall-to-wall bars, jazz bands, seafood cafe's, and strip clubs (?!). The vibe is one of a festival in full swing even though the day was not a special occasion.
Anyhow, signing off on Christmas Eve from New Orleans. All my love and best holiday season wishes go out to my family and friends. I love you all and miss you like crazy! xoxoxo
