ok so we caught the moring bus to Caboolture (well as near as we could get) to begin work. Our lovely bus driver told us he could get us to the service stop here which was great. We phoned our work contact who said he would be able to collect us from here which was even better!! So we waited for a short while until we saw a white van, encrusted with dirt pulling up. The man hanging out of the window with a cigarette in hs mouth could only be described as Rab C Nesbitt! He had no shirt on with a big beer belly over his tousers, no teeth at the front and long, dirty, shaggy hair. Honestly it was something out of a horror movie. We kep calm and got in the van (at this point we had little choice as we had no other way of leaving the service stop) and he began driving us to our 'new' home.
On the way he talked about the job and constantly contradicted himself. One minute saying there was work, the saying no theres not a lot of work.

We kept our hopes up regardless. The man said he would take us to the house first for a look and thenhe would get our details for work and payments etc afterwards.

So we pulled into the house, looked a bit rough from the outside, but still our hopes were high! Inside said it all, the place was a tip! There were 3 english bys living there who instantly shook their heads to tell us not to bother. The room the man showed us ws a single bed that looked about 100 years old.

We told the man we needed to think aout it , he left and told us to call him. When he left we asked the other tenants who told us to run! they had also been promised work and only had 2 day over 2 weeks.
We called a taxi and headed stright to the train station to get the fluck out of there! So our plans had changed slightly, but we had tried! We decided to go and see Brisbane and Sydney and then go to Melbourne to look for more work.
Brsbane was just another sity, quite businees like and nothing really struck us so we had a good walk around and booked the bus to Sdney for the same night instead of staying over. As far as we were concernced the further we got away from Caboolture the better.

Sydney here we come!
