Hi Everyone.

Geez - I'm getting quite lazy at updating this blog eh. Well we have now been in Oz since 30th October so not far off 2 months. We are now in Noosa so we are slowly making our way down the East Coast. Since I haven't written a blog since Auckland I will start when we arrived in Australia.

Mark and I flew into Brisbane on 30th October and caught a connecting flight to Cairns where we met Carolann who had flown up from Sydney. It was good to see my baby again.

We stayed ion Cairns City Backpackers for a good 2-3 weeks whilst we were looking for a car or van to travel down the coast in.

Carolann and I had a day diving in the Great Barrier Reef from there and I also went Cable Ski-ing there which is like water ski-ing exept you are on a board and pulled round by a cable attached to pullies.

Cairns is really nice and it has a lovely lagoon which we swam in and hung out at most days. I will add some pices of it soon so that you can see what it is like.

In Cairns, we bought a car for $1,000 which ended up being a piece of crap so we ended up selling it on for $600. Not the best bit of business we have ever done. We eventually decided to give up on buying a vehicle ibn Cairns as it was so fu;l of backpackers arriving and wanting to buy that it made it almost impossible to get someting at a reasonable price.

We left Cairns by Greyhound bus and headed down the coast towards Townsville where we would try again to get some transport. On the way we stopped for a couple of days at Mission Beach. Mark and I had white water rafting to do on the River Tully there and I was also booked to doa skydive.

The rafting was awesome - We managed to overturn the boat in the firast two rapids which was pretty dangerous but most of us escaped unhurt. The instructor we had in our boat said he had only had 2 boat overturns in the 3 years he had been doing it so w must have been really bad at it. Mark and I were in a boat with 4 other girls and the instructor. Due to injuries, after lunch we were down to the instructor, Mark, Me and 1 girl. The rest had all pulled out. Was a great day though. My skydive was called off so (Carolann is hungry so gonna leave it hereand come back to this to finish. I hope you can wait).
