Third day in Lhasa and we've visited a few more monasteries and palaces - some real history here...Also went to a monastery where the monks debate Buddhism.. absolutely fantastic watching them in each others' faces laughing at each others' arguments (we still think they were dissing each others' mums but who knows!) - we've got some brilliant video clips.
Had some spare time so we went for a blind massage! A charity has been set up which employs blind people - we were told that blind people have heightened other senses so do a fantastic massage - it was superb!
Did some shopping in the local markets as well - i've bought a protector mask (which Rupal isn't too keen on) but it will take pride of place in our porch when we get home.... Bartering is a bit too easy though... "400 Yuan"... "No, i'll give you 10"..... "OK then".... "doh.. should have gone for 5!".
Found an internet cafe which serves the best chocolate brownies ever - Yes - Tibet has cake shops!
Tomorrow the adventure really starts as we drive through Gyangste and Shigatse towards Everest Base Camp....
