Why isn't tallness a recognised disability?
As I was having my fruuit muffins the crazy Aussie came in at 7.30am having been out all night for the 2nd night in a row. He told me he felt like spewing but that it was a great day for the slopes. I said "take it easy and have a good run" in my anglo aussie accent. I next saw him at 9am hurtling down the slopes past me on his snowboard doing all kinds of tricks, he is insane.
Decided against lessons today and went about getting some practice in. My turns were coming on nicely so I decided to go on the chair lift and attempt the bigger beginners slope. BIG MISTAKE. I started hurtling down, forgot everything id learnt and fell, lost both ski's and rolled over. And over. And over. And over etc. It was spectacular and so are the bruises.
With pride damaged I hastily retreated to the learners baby slope for the afternoon and got back somewhere near where i was before. I also bumped into Nicola and her BF. It was quicker than I expected, the force in me isn't as strong as I thought it was because I didn't sense her presence on that occasion, she was obviously using some sort of dark jedi mind trek on me. She kept trying to goade me into attempting the bigger slope with her but im just not ready. She is pretty good at the skiing lark, alot better than her 10 pin bowling anyway.
Had my hair chopped finally on my return to town by a girl from Oxford. She was lovely and we got on well apart from her calling me 'mate' all the time, how annoying. Unless it meant that she actually wanted to 'mate' with me that is, in which case ill have to put that in the missed column.
Once I got home I realised what a sh1t job she'd done on my hair so im glad I didn't mate with her. Ive also got right back into the book I was reading. Its a 900page whopper and ive read it on and off for a few months but its amazing. I finished on a part that made me WANT to cry. WANT being the operative word, expressing emotion doesn't come easy so I surpressed it as normal and closed my eyes and slept like a baby instead.
