Been a few weeks since we have managed to get things up so quite allot to fill you in on so here goes ...
So from sucra we left to go to potossi james took a mine tour there but i didn't go because there are often small children working in them and wouldn't have been nice to see. But he really enjoyed his day out bought some dynamite and blew stuff up! So any lad would have loved the trip!
I on the other hand took a city tour which was great, more amazing sights and could see the opening to the mines from the highest point in the world! which was very cool indeed!
After a brief stay in Sucra the salt flat were our next destination for 3 days in 4x4 which was just crazy mental! It has also been the best part of the trip! We saw them in both lights (Wet and dry) and took over 300 really artistic pictures ... we were there for hours amusing ourselves! It was just so nice to wander around and check out all the back drops that surrounded us.
So after feeling giddy from all this excitement we then spend another 2 days checking out sights that surrounded us and saw an abundance of animals such as ... 1000 of lamas )Id be happy if we never saw one again - James on the other hand wants one as a pet when we get home!) Also flamingos that were called james funnily enough! We also had a trip to the the red lake and green lagoon which was mega impressive as they both reflect the rocks and mountains that surround them causing them to change the colour of the water. And we also had the change to chill out in the hot baths which were soooo relaxing after the mental trip we had bumping around in 4x4 for 3 days, the view was more than amazing and you would have paid thousands for the back drop we had!
So after another delightful night train at 2 am we arrived in Corumba, which we only passed by as we grabbed a cab straight to La Paz. Pretty amazing place as we had the chance to see the witches markets - Pretty creepy with the baby lama skulls on their stalls .... but we had an awesome day shopping and bartering with locals!
This was also out last day with our tour gide so we had a really great Thai meal and lots to drink after! Was a memorable evening and our guide took 2 days to get over the nights events - Job well done!
