Being cold brings a whole new dimension to living in a van. In comparison being hot is easy.
Not only was I up all night looking after Blaze cos he needed to go to the loo every few hours but by the time morning eventually came round it was -5 and incredibly cold Stu opened the back door whilst I was try to catch up on some lost sleep the lock froze open and the door remained so with it. So that was fun heating up the lock with my hair dryer to be able to shut the door to keep the warmth in. I am so glade we have the fire. Think I would be a icicle without it.
After the dogs having the time of their lives rolling round in the icy grass I then tried to go out on my bike and the lock was frozen so I couldn't even get the key in but a but a hot water sorted that no problem.
The layers are definately piling on now, thermals, base layers, fleeces, downs and jackets and of course hats m, gloves and scarfs. Don't want to get cold.
