Natasha's Adventure
Hi everyone.
Have been in Sanur now for two days. My flight to Singapore was really good i had a whole row to myself so i could stretch out all over the seats. Steph you will be happy to know that i made it to my connecting flight no problems. When i was lining up to go through the xray thing this little girl ran past everyone and went through. She was japanese and her mum was calling for her and she wouldnt come back. It was like Love Actually lol. My flight to Denpasar was bad; it was a tiny plane and everyone was squashed on. I didn't know how to fill out one part of my landing card so i messaged darren and said 'what is my destination after i leave bali, and he said denpasar. So he was a huge help, i ended up asking the Japanese girl next to me - like she would know where i was going! Denpasar airport was tiny and it took ages to get through because you had to line up in one line to pay for your visa, then they gave you a receipt to go and get your visa then you go to immigration. Then you pick up your bags and it was sooo funny because they only use one carosel and there were so many bags that they had lined them all up all over the floor. There were bags everywhere! Darren had to wait like an hour for me at the airport so he was grumpy but the driver who was waiting was happy because he was getting lots of money. Then he drove us to Sanur and he just drove in the middle of two lanes the whole way there. I figured that i would make a good driver here.
Yesterday Darren worked so i had a relax on the beach (no tsunamis in sight) and read my book. Then i had a massage for an hour and 15mins which cost me about $30 AU. Then i spent the rest of the day lying by the pool. We went out for dinner with Darren's Indonesian friend and another girl from darwin who is also here for the exhibition. We ate at an italian restaurant and there were these Indo guys who were a band who were singing for everyone, they were really good, Uncle Mitch you would have loved them! They sang beach boys and beatles and elvis and james blunt, all sorts of stuff! They were hillarious.
Anyway today we are off to Kuta to check out the shopping.
Steph you would be so proud of me!! Made it all the way here without the nervous guy!
Will write again soon,
Natasha and Darren (but mostly me)
