Tasha on her travels
BULA everybody!!! well the end is no longer nigh...it is here! still completely in denial, the other girls are all nervously excited, i however am under the false impression that we are merely leaving for another far and exotic destination! dad by the way i am now as far from you as i ever can be before coming back, so enjoy it while it lasts!
fiji was awesome, as everything else is! met up with the lads from nz accidently which was wicked. unfortunately the weather was far from the best and rain was a regular feature as were the clouds! but as a professional sunbather i managed to squeeze in a few hours of sunshine so although uncomparable to my thai tan, i am a little dark!
our island included all food (so i am now a slightly larger version of my former self!) and all activities, you will all be very proud to know that yesterday i went fishing! and who was the only person to catch a fish apart from the two locals?....yes that would be me, first time n i got the prettiest fish in the ocean! felt relly bad, speah when joe then comenced smashing its skull against the side, some fish just wont die quickly! to make matters worse (and something which i may in future need therapy for) he then proceeded to catch a large one and get the hook stuck so he yanked out the fishies jaw and tossed it in the box. yes, i was sat next to said box happily enjoying the sun in my lovely yellow sarong. hmm not so lovely yellow anymore! the fish narrowly missed me but its blood and guts did not!! lovely! the fish are punishing me!
so i am now 22! my bday was amazing! i woke up to ring family even though i was a day ahead, then had a light brekkie followed by a cocktail at 10 am on the beach (its ok on your bday!) it was a gorge day (only one!) i then sunbathed while rhia made me a cake made from sand! then had lunch and a performance by the staff of fijian dance(do it all the time its awesome!) and then began the afternoon with a massage and another cocktail! watched the sunset over a bbq and music and then the drinking began! the rest is a bit of a blur, i vaguley remember dodging sea snakes (the second most venomous snake in the world- there everywhere here!) and dancing the night away before heading to a bonfire on beach! so yeah it was pretty specacular, spesh when staff sand to me too!
got on realy well with the staff as we were longest residents there. and well when u see the photos u will totally understand....abs abs abs abs abs! there the fittest guys ive ever seen in my life and there about 20 of them here, flexing their muscles everyday dancing and partying and fire dancing etc etc! they were such a laugh and on bday got invited to drink kava with them...its taste of grass and is a local thing here, kind of a plant mild drug...sends u numb (dont worry its all good and legal and safe!) got all their email address and they all want to come to england too....mum we may have alot of visitors from around the world coming!
right im going to chill by a pool somewhere, got 8 hours to kill! then 24 on a plane! yipee!! cant wait to see everyone, styill doesnt seem real though, think i ll get a shock when actually arrive in heathrow and not another far flung destination as imagined!!
lots a love, bula xx
