Honestly, I was a little too exhausted from adjusting to life clinging to the back of a metal bug to blog properly, so events and photos are still forthcoming for that part of the trip. To make a long story short, we left our bikes in Spokane, WA on June 26th and returned home to ride a desk for a few weeks. (The "will work for fuel" sign wasn't producing.)
After a 3-week hiatus, we are preparing to return to Spokane on Friday, July 20th to complete a 3-week ride through Canada to Alaska and back to Seattle. Along the way we hope to score the coveted Haul Rd/Dalton Hwy merit badge (self-bestowed) by riding about 450 largely graveled miles from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay and back. This trip should fulfill our annual objective to mentally and physically challenge ourselves while getting very dirty, picking bugs from our teeth and alternately praising and cursing nature. Should be fun!

Rained pretty hard on I-40. Pit stop in Nashville at the aptly named Bloodworth BMW dealership. I'm pretty sure we leave several pints behind every time we darken the door of one.
