We tore ourselves away from the food and beach and made the 4 hour journey inland to Dalat. It's a nice little town in the highlands, surrounded by farms and full of French influence. We really feel like we could be somewhere in the south of France.
Our hostel is lovely, a 6 bed dorm but for $5 a night each we get breakfast and dinner included. At 6pm everyone sits around the table and they provide a simple but delicious meal - it makes the place very sociable which is lovely. On the first night we had a few beers (30p each...) then went to another hostel which does great cocktails before..... Karaoke... It's so popular here! You rent a room for £4 an hour, which has fur walls, neon lights, sofas, and a massive screen, and they bring in a crate of beer. Very random but a great laugh.
Yesterday we went on our classic walk around the city, stopping in a few coffee shops on the way. In the evening we went back to the other hostel to get another whisky sour... Which turned into 3 cocktails which were far to strong for our age... We felt delicate this morning. So today we have been very lazy, catching up on shows and sorting things out :)
