We have spent a few interesting days in Paris visiting some old favourites and also taking in some new museums etc. Today we spent most of the day at the Musee d'Orsay which has a great collection of Renoirs, Monets etc. Crowds were low so we actually were able to see far more of the collection than we have on previous visits which was great.
Yesterday we visited Sainte Chapelle with all it's stained glass. Security was extremely tight so the wait to get in was considerable but well worth it as, by the time we finished the audio guide, we were the only people in the chapel.
The "je suis charlie" issues have made this visit to Paris an interesting one with security across the city extremely tight. The mood of the people has also been interesting in that it has been quite somber with a sense of a united approach to "reclaim" their city.
Will add a few photos of places we have been to the albums list and then tomorrow we are off to Lucerne.
