Soooo after te anau I went to queentown again where i met up with some people from the Kiwi bus i was on. I also met some american college girls and dude from england in my room and met up again with a person i havent seen since Paihi (i would use people names but Im not sure how some people would feel if I did) anyway I went on a bar crawl that was soo badly organised it was frustrating. I also went to an ice bar and did alot of silly things to a frozne man which i will no discusse but in my defence they all were doing it! i also had a go at frisbee golf in queenstown park which was sweet!
I then headed to christchurch which was horrible! and to make things worse the night i stayed my room got flooded which set off the fire alarm at 1am and i was outside in my boxer short and flip flops in the pooring rain in the city centre. Later on I met some Ozy dude and dutch guy and we got very drunk as there was nothing else to do there.
The next place was Kaikoura which was very nice but not much to do. i was suppose to go dlphine swimming but it kept getting cancel... so myself and girl i met from brighton decided to rent a car and steal some maps and just drove to well anywhere, it was fantatstic. we eventually ended up at a wooden log abondon/ brand new ski resort at mount fluchy and met some kiwi guy who wouldn't leave us alone and kept talking about his fake hips and his operation.
I then decide to head back to the north island and get off the kiwi bus as i didnt see the point in going back to places I have already been. So i spent a few more days in wellington as I really enjoyed the city alot. while i was there i fell asleep outside the NZ parliment building and met some irish guys and my old kiwi bus driver which was kinda surprising. I also had one of the worst night sleep there I have ever had on Halloween.
Mainly because the hostel was right next to the main strip in wellington for going out, and at 2.30am I got woken up by 2 people having sex underneath my bunk and the shaking was pretty irrateing and i was very uncomfortable. sooo i headed out by myself just to get away from it. I figure if im going to be kept awake i might aswell be out.
so i headed to some random bar and spoke to alot of random people, after awhile and started to get pretty drunk at 5am. So i decided to head back the hostel but passed out in the common room and awoke to people pointing and laughing at me at 6am. I then found my room mate passed out in the middle of the floor in the hall, i thought about waking him but i think he was well away with it.
anyway after my 4 days in wellington i headed to the city of napier. which was a very isolated city but was very impressive and i stayed at one of the nicest hostel i have ever been to. There were not many backpackers and alot of older people in the city. anyway I went on a wine tour of the hawks bay area and got very very drunk by 5pm with some seniior citizens from NZ and australia, it was a great laugh but i felt so ill later on. but being 5th of novemeber fireworks were all over the place on the local beach so i went for awalk to check out the action. It was so dangerious, there so many kids that were throwing fireworks among thousands of people and a little kid threw some at me and i started to chase him as i was pretty angry and pissed off at him. I didn't catch him but some random maui kid ran up and battered him senseless, it was justice in my book.
As i remember the next day i went scuba diving at the national aquarium where i was feeding all kinds of fish ranging from the smallest to the biggest including stingrays and white sharks. As i was feeding the fish the stinray was very interested in my face and somehow was clung to it, I ended up hitting the stinray to go away as it was kinda disturbing seeing those sharp teeth so close to my face. Although the sharks were even worse one of them almost ate some of my left hand, lucky i moved my hand quick enough but my glove was torn. I was diving for about an hour there, but half way through my dive partner left me alone for 20 mins with all the sharks in the tank. it was fantastic!
My next stop was gisborne the worlds most eastern city and it was an absolute dump! there was nothing to do. I saw the statue of captain cook (who discovered New zealand) but that was it. however there was an incident I got into fight with a NUN! no joke! mainly about sleep time on a saturday night and she was sayin it was too late... it was 10.30pm! and she stole my drinks! (technically i got mugged....by a NUN! lol). But yeah I was only there a day but it was one day to much.
So i decide to head to my next stop called mount maunganui, which is a beach resort and it is incredible. It has an extict volcano at the end of the beachs, where a spit should be. The view was amazing and the places is very friendly, but i have still managed to get sun burnt. I met some cool people in the hostel all very mellow and i went out a few times, I got very drunk one night with a local kiwi girl, it's a great place. so much soo that i been here for over a week now and prob stay here longer, until i have no choice but to head to auckland for my flight to the US of A.
I have really enjoyed my time in New zealand and i have been considering working here however i still havent found any work. I may come back here if i miss it so. we shall see. :)
