Hi Nomi, loving seeing all the photos you have taken so far - they're great. I'm now able to picture you there and understand a bit what it's like! You're looking great in them too! I can definitely notice your tan. You're being much missed here as always! How's everything there at the moment? Hope it's all going well and that you're enjoying yourself. Take care xxxx

Hi Naomi
Just got this info from Auntie Ester -via Aunt Margaret and thought that I would look you up. It has been years since we were in touch.
Uganda is an interesting place, I was there in 2000 working in Entebbe and got to do a little traveling around - nothing like the things you are up to!
Love to hear more and catch up with you and the rest of the family. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Naomi.
It really is good to read about your adventures and see your photos though I have to agree we need more of you!
I was sorry to read about the beatings but then read that this has lessened mostly it seems down to you. Thats fantastic, it must be great to know you have had such an impact in such a short space of time.
I can't believe you are getting a wash with a family of cockroaches looking on. As much as I feel for you I did chuckle at the thought of that. I'm ashamed to say it but I did. I have all on to go in the bathroom if theres a spider but I guess you get used to these things when you have no choice!
As for gossip here you may have read I am expecting a little boy. I'm almost 22 weeks now and it seems to be flying by. I'm starting to feel a lot of movement now which is fantastic.
Well take care love Debs x

Hello Naomi - o good to be able to hear all your news. You sound like you have settled in very well. Life here is ticking away nicely - your mother is looking extremely well I have to say (not missing you too much I hope). In the last week we've had several cm of snow and today glorious sun - english weather eh? Trust you're having a nicer time of it there? Brian and Ciara are in Dublin giving me some breathing space to get on with my essays (yeah right!) - they have to be in by 12th May and then I intend NOT to study for a while. So, is there anything I/we can send you to relieve some of your cravings? Ciara would like a penfriend from Uganda, can you suggest one and get a letter sent? Naomi, I'll keep in touch - take care of yourself - Linda x

Hi Naomi. Am loving reading the blog- it's good to get the impression that everything's slowly falling into place. Was in Leeds last week with Shaft who was bringing me up to speed. Have you tried any waragi (banana) gin yet? I've been going all around London trying to find it for my dad but alas not. One of my brother's friends had it when he went to Uganda and said it is one hell of a drink!
PS I've just managed to get the easy maths question wrong. oh dear!

Hiya Naomi,
We are currently in Singapore airport waiting for our flight to Hong Kong and thought we would catch up on your news.
I can't belive the conditions you are living with, we have had to go to the loo in some awful conditions, deal with strange bugs and have bucket showers but nothing in comparison to what you are dealing with. I really do admire you for what you are doing. It sounds really rewarding even though their has been a few teething problems.
Keep enjoying yourself and recording all your experiences so we can share with you.
All the best
Gemma and Matthew
