Whrn we arrived at the airport, there was an info centre, whjich help you find accommodation. We saw a leaflet for a hostel called "The Hive", which david had recommended so we headed there (after standing at the cash machine for ages trying to work out the s$) As we was driving there the first thing we noticed was the old fashioned square cars they have, which look like lardas!
It's the first time we have stayed in a proper hostel, so wasn't sure what to expect, our beds was right up near the ceiling in a room of about 2 others! Once i had climbed up to the beds, i got stuck and couldn't get down, it was real high and it nerved me incase i fell. We was both in fits of laughter and Laura had to rescue me by sitting me on her shoulder and lifting me down. It's also not good if you are wearing a skirt as everyone below can see up it!
After we arrived we went out to explore where we was. To get anywhere you go by tube. It's cheap, but we have never been on a tube in our life and was clueless! Now after a couple of days, we are experts at the underground, we can change lines and everything and get back without getting lost! The underground is huge and they show videos about terorism while you wait for the tube -scary!. We went to Chinatownas this is one of the central places around here. It was big and full of light, but could find nothiong lese so headed back!
The next day, we decided to more nearer to the centre and are now in a hostel called "Cosy Corner Guesthouse" at bugis, not that far from the pubs. When we got here we bumped our bangs and headed off to the zoo and night saffari. It took us about an hour to get there, we had two long tube journeys and a bus to catch. We found it ok, again, I dont know how! The zoo was great, we saw some weird dangerous animals! The night saffari was also good, we sat on the tram and got taken on a tour around the site, Then went to see an animal show, which was funny!
