22nd January 2007 !
Sorry this is a bit delayed, we have found cheap internet now! here goes!
Happy birthday Nuge! Congratulations to Andrew and Andrea on your new baby girl Amy and to Vic and Jason on your new baby girl Isabelle Elizabeth Cruttenden! Can't wait to have a cuddle.
Once again, we are on the greyhound bus, this time travelling to Byron Bay, we just got really excited as we saw some wild kangaroos on the roadside, not seen wild ones before.
We spent 5 days at Coffs Harbour, the first hostel we went to was called "Hoey Moey backpackers" and it was not what it sounded like in the book. It was miles away from everything, had a dirty kitchen and a pub/clubhouse, which was like Pheonix nights clubhouse! It was bad! The first night it was completely dead, so we went to bed. The shower also made the loudest racket ever, but suppose the hostel was on the beach - We stayed there 10am - 5pm! on our second day Keith and Logan turned up and had payed upfront for three nights, so there was no getting out of it for them, we all went in the club house and made the most of it. Keith and Logan did the Karaoke (which highly embarrassed us as they kept doing shout outs to us), and some other Irish girls got us doing the YMCA, by the end of the night, which was funny. We also met some Italian people, whose names I can't remember. I had fallen alseep, but Loz was up all night, watching this wierd guy, who was in our room and kept standing up and watching me and touched me so Loz kicked him! He was strange! Two nights at Hoey Moey was far too much, so we checked into a hostel called "Ausitel", the next day. friday night was punch night, all you can drink for 7 bucks, the whole hostel was sat outside playing drinking games and we got 4 mini busses, to the Coffs Harbour Hotel, which has a local club. Loz got herself a nice lad called Daniel - all the way from sunny Brid, who now keeps stalking her, every place we go! and I got myself a fit guy called Andy, who worked at the hostel. Didn't really see much of each other that night. Fri night was a good laugh and we met loads of great people, which you will be able to see on our thousands of photographs, when we come home.
Saturday, I baked in the sun some more and Loz slept till 4pm as she can't handle mixing drinks anymore! On Sunday,we went to meet Kim, who is staying down the road. Me and Loz went to the porpoise pool, to see a Dolphin and a Sea Lion show, they are so clever, we even got a kiss from them! They was adorable! We also held a snake, which was not so adorable, and it started wriggling away out of my hands! That night we went down to the beach with Gary, Andy, Tom and Ian, we put loads of wood in the van and took it down with us to make a fire. It is so cool to be able to do that, it was a great chilled out Saturday night, we don't feel like we have to have a big one on a sat night now, as everyday is a weekend for us.
Last night was Pizza night at the hostel, so we all had Dominos and didn't do much else. It is roasting hot today, we went shopping with Andy and another lad from the hostel and had to jump in the pool when we got back as it was that hot. Loz now has bad arms through playing too much volly ball.
Looking forward to Byron, there are lots of parties there. Keith and Logan are there and Iquo is there too (who we met in Port Macquarie, and lives down Gillshill Road in Hull). There is a pub called Cheeky Monkeys, where you can dance on tables and have wet t shirt comps! Enough said.
