Ha and amazing few days, the rains have come, so at night we get a lot of heavy rain, and then during the day it's hot and sunny, so it's the best of both worlds, on Sunday night the rain came through the window and my room flooded, but luckily none of my stuff got wet. I spent yesterday morning building flood defences to stop heavy rain from washing away the seedd we've planted in the shamba, and then wew did some more planting in the afternoon.
Last week we wnet down to the school to plant trees with the kids, and I had to take pictures, except as soon as I got my camera out every kid wanted an individual picture with their tree, so I was there for hours :)
This weekend was awesome, we went to Marangu, which is so green compared to Uchira! Everywhere you looked there was coffee, bananas, mangoes, passion fruit, melons etc growin. At Marangu we went to a Chaga settlement, and we got to look around some traditional Chaga houses, we also went to see some of the caves which the Chaga built 300 yrs ago to protect themselves from the Massai. After we'd seen that we went to a waterfall, which was so lovely, and we al got a really nice cold swim, since we were boiling by then. Then on Sunday we went to a blacksmith, and I had a bit of a crash course in how to throw a Massai spear (I wasn't exactly wehat you'd call a natural) and then we came back to Uchira on Sunday night.
