Our plane left Venice at 7:30am...touched down in Milan at 8:30am. We left Milan for Chicago at 10:30am....10 hours later we were back in the good ole U.S.A. Wednesday was our second day in Venice and last full day in Italy. We're determined to make the most of it. We enjoy another day of sleeping in. Our train ride to Venice was very eventful. Our hotel in Rome was literally two block from Termini Station...so there were no problems getting to the station for our 10:52am departure. The problems were getting TO the train. No train attendent to tell us where the platform or first class section of the train was. And, no escalator/elevator to be found! Our second day in Rome we ventured out on a day trip to Naples and the ruins of Pompeii. Our day started at 7am as we met up with the tour company in charge of our day trip.
