Neil's Round the World Trip!
I got up feeling refreshed and had a shower. I then had breakfast before heading out with Jack and Margaret to a viewpoint on the west coast near a place called Henderson. It was a beautiful viewpoint with some great views of Auckland Airport and the surrounding area. It was really windy up on the viewpoint.
We then drove to Paia and had a picnic by the beach. We walked along the beach front and looked at all the holiday homes (some are really modern and others look like run-down garden sheds). There is a volcanic outcrop that you once could climb bu the rock has disintegrated in areas making it unsafe to climb. It's called the "Lion's Rock".
We drove back to Albany and had dinner (again really nice; steak my favourite!) Later myself and Margaret visited Douglas. What an amazing house he has, big swimming pool, spa and a large outdoor seating area (perfect for entertaining). Douglas burned my photos to CD which was a really nice thing to do (as I would have had to pay in a store) We drove back and I updated the journal and had a Speights beer.
Right I'm off to sleep....tomorrow I'm 24!
