hello....its been a while which means its going to be another long one...so here goes and lets hope it doesnt crash again.
since i left you last i have been to the ko sok national park and i am now in beautiful ko samui. we took the overnight train (the last one, thank god they were doing me head in!!) to surant thani in the middle of thailand then we got a bloody 2hour coach journey to the ko sok national park entrance and then a trcuk from there to te\he the deepest depths of the jungle to our resort....pain in the arse journey but so worth it when we arrived....the scenery is so amazing, so beautful. the resort restaurant overlooked the river where there wer wild monkeys and hornbills (very very lucky to have seen these). the water is turquoise green...just amazing (think i may have to find another word to use)
i had a hut to myself which had a bed, a toilet (a normal one!) and a cold shower and 2 small lights....very exotic. it was very basic but wonderful. it was scary at night though as you could only use torch light and my battery has run out so you can imagine the fun....
the first day we went tubing down the river followed by drinks, food and more drinks. we then headd to the funkey monkey bar (yes, a bar in the middle of the jungle). you had to sit on the floor and take your shoes off and had many ultraviolet lights...so can imagine the rest really! all the men are gay, bisxual or want to be women which was quite funny as one of the waiters fancied donna and sam(male) in our group and was trying it on with both...didnt get very far though!
with hangovers the next day we didnt do much....played on the rope swing in the river...swam across on to monkey island (covered in bloody sh*t) and played crads. it was nice to have a relaxing day. at night we went to the freedom bar (another jungle bar...ok so werent in the deepest dephs of the jungle) which was very bob marley esq...need i say more???walking back over the rope swing bridge was quite intersting with a belly full of pina coladas! (saw a cobra today about 3m long....very scray)
today we were up at 5am to catch another 2hour bus ride and then another 1 hour bus ride then a 2 hour ferry crosing and then another 30 min bus ride..so by 11am we felt like we had been round the bloody earth! this place is so lovely...beaches have gold sand...sea is warm...met are fit (esp danish blokes, and goes by name of simon!!!)
spent ysterday on the beach...and then last night we went to a different resort and went to green mambos (a night club)....drunk again but a bloody good night...still laughing and not stopped yet...have a lovely toned tummy now though! so got home about 4am then up for brekkie at 9.30am....straight to the beach for sun and sea. we spent the afternoon going around the island looking at buddas....a big budda...waterfalls (flippin massive as monsoon season), some elephants (have some wicked photos of this) and went to see grandma and grandpa rocks ( i thinlk the photos will explain that bit)! we have just eaten and so back out in a bit to green mambos again...
ali me and donna have decided to spend anothe rmonth in thailand-we just love it here so much...and its cheap. we are going to stay here for a while then maybe head to ko tao and phuket and possibly krabi but we will have to do a visa run at some stage as it finihes on 28th nov....another adventure......
no more injuries as yet...except fell over whilst on squat loo ( it was slippy!!!) so you can imagine the laughs that that got! leg is slowly healing...am going to have an amzing scar...yipee...a story for the grand children me thinks. we are all going to have out names in thai tatooed on...but that will wait whilst oz.
anyways enough of my ramblings. i hope you are all well and not to cold. its about 30 degrees here...so just nice.....legs are getting lovely and brown!
thanks for my messages i love reading them....lots of love to you all x
