Today was my first day of school. School in France is so different compared to Australia. We left the apartment at 7.30 and school started at 8.00. We had English first- teacher and students interrogated me about Australia hahaha, we then had history double maths double french and Spanish. The teachers all spoke very fast it was almost impossible to understand any of it. We went home for lunch for an hour and then went back to school. The school is so small compared to ones in Melbourne, and the free dress and co-ed is very interesting. So then school finished at 4.30 and we headed on home. To get to and from school we catch the underground metro. When we came home aurelle did her homework whilst I watch a movie and relaxed as I was so tired. The day seems small but boy oh boy did it feel long and draining. By 7.30 I could barely keep my eyes open. We then had dinner- rice with something that I thought was a meatball inside a tomato? And carrot salad. And then of course we he cheese and fruit afterwoods. On the 8th of December in Lyon it is a tradition to place candles in glasses on your apartment outside ledges (complicated tradition to explain). So if you look out the window or off the balcony many apartments have candles on their ledges. So at about 9.00 Axel Phillipe and I lit the candles and placed them on the ledge. Aurelle says school doesn't start tomorrow until 10.30 because her teacher is absent and when a teacher is absent you just don't have that class. There are a few odd and different things about school in France than in Australia. So yay I get to sleep in a little! Either way I'm so tired now, long day, so goodnight
