PARIS!
We flew Christchurch to Singapore and then Singapore to Frankfurt and then our last flight was Frankfurt to Paris.
Our last flight was delayed by an hour and a half because of engine problems, so that led to problems with our transfer, when we FINALLY got that sorted we were on our way into Paris the first night we stayed at a hotel in the centre of France, the man there was so lovely and he loved us cos we were kiwis. It was so overwhelming there on our first day in paris after flying for about 24 hrs with little sleep. The next day we moved to our current hotel and then we took a taxi to the Eiffel tower. It is amazing, from there we got on a hop on hop off bus around Paris that went for just over 2 hours then we sat under the Eiffel tower with nutella and strawberry crepes YUM. For dinner that night we went to a wee restaurant across from our hotel, we tried escargot here it was nasty! Haha we made a pact to eat all of them but I ate 2 and Paige ate 1 and spat her 2nd one out so we left 2. Then we shared a pizza and pasta, they were so good!! The next day was time for Disneyland - where dreams come true. I got to high 5 goofy, go on the teacup and saucer ride and Minnie mouse told me and Paige she loved us!!!!! Yay!
We were stoked with the day at Disneyland. Then on the bus on the way back we got stuck in a traffic jam for half an hour it went on and on and on, when we finally arrived back at the bus depot we had to get home, so we went into the information centre to ask if they could call us a taxi or if we could use their phone, they said 'no, go stand on the street and try catch one' we went outside and saw some other shops and thought someone there might help but no, Noone would help us by calling a taxi, so we were on the side of the road for atleast 45 minutes trying to catch a taxi. We got back to the hotel at 9.30pm and had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, in silence just because we were so frustrated about what happened. Today is the 30th of July, we start our Contiki today, we went for a walk around the area we are staying in and went to a bakery and got a wee pizza and a pack of 16 macarons to share.. YUM! So now we are waiting for our tour to make it here so we can meet everyone, and we get to go on another tour around Paris tonight, when everything is all lit up, very excited :)
Paris is not what I expected, but it is still amazing!
