So it has been a busy couple of days for the crew. We have been from Beaver Utah through Las Vegas, into Lake Havaseau and are now in Nogales Arizona. We apologize for not updating the blog sooner, but the head blogger has been down with food poisoning- but he is back.
So we left Beaver and got about 1 km when the propane in one of the buses froze and needed some tender loving care. So the rest of us proceeded to Cedar City Utah to find a muffler shop to get the muffler on the Grande Prairie Fire Truck repaired. Then it was off to Las Vegas.....and what happened in Las Vegas will stay in Las Vegas.
The next day we were off until 11:00. The Grande Prairie crew went to a meeting of the Las Vegas Rotary. Vic and Murray headed to Lake Havesau, Arizona, as Murray was not up to having lunch. The Edson guys got to the Lake with time to wash the truck and pick up more Pepto Bismol. That evening the crew went out to David and Elizabeth house (formerly of GP).
Today we got away from Lake Havaseau bright and early and this time it was the Edson Fire Truck that needed tender loving care with the air brakes. Got it fixed and quickly caught up to the rest of the crew. So it was a good day and we arrived in Nogales Arizona by about 4:00. We went out for supper at an Italian restaurant (this close to Mexico?).
Pepe and Catcho are already on their way to Nogales and expect to arrive at 4;00, for a sleep and a shower before we make our way to the border. We will be going to the American border first to get our bonds released and then on to the Mexican frontier. Send us good thoughts to help us get through quickly.
