Shepherd's Bush, London, UK
Hey guys!
Thought it would be a good idea to start blogging! Partly because I'm a bit slack when it comes to emailng regularly and because its what you seem to do when travelling.I'll try and recap the last 4 months (well nearly, can't believe its been that long!) as quick as possible...
So back in London now after my topdeck tour through europe, which was unreal!! Had so much fun on it, saw so many places and did so much, met heaps of cool ppl who I still hang out with in London. - there's a lot of places I'm really keen to go back to, Berlin especially because when we were there it was a public holiday so there wasn't much going on. I really loved Prague and want to go back, Switzerland! I could go on forever! Was completely b*****ed by the end of tour!Didn't help that our last stop was in Amsterdamage!
So in good old London - was originally staying with an aunt in West Kensington which was the life! two tube stops just down the road, no rent etc. But she's up and moving to Nice,France (which is awesome - hello wkend trips to France for free accommdation!) so I had to find a place quick! Just moved into a flat in Shepherd's Bush (aussie ville or what -you walk down the road and there's a million aussie flags hanging in the windows). Its a share flat, sharing with 9 other people - so there's 10 of us in total!! So there's always ppl around, everyone in the house is really nice and easy going so that's good. Had a few drinks on Satuday with everyone which was good! Didn't realise how easy I had it in West Kensington, now I have to pay rent, LEARN TO COOK - yes I don't have much cooking ability but I shall learn and become a whiz...
I'm working at a company in the city called KPMG, just doing some admin temp work - not sure how long the assignments for, I think it might be a bit of an ongoing one because its such a large company, which is good because I won't be out of a job! (knock on wood). The girls I work alongside with are really nice - don't have to start until 9.30am!different from back home, i love it!
I've done a bit of the odd sightseeing - tower bridge, trafalgar sqaure, buckingham palace (its a lot smaller than it looks on tv! - yet to see the changing of the guards, which is hard because that requires me to get up early on a sat or sun), did a day trip out to Warwick castle which is about 2hrs out of London - was worth the trip, the castle was really interesting and the little town was cool. Also went out to Brighton, its really nice there - was a bit of a windy day when we were there so couldn't get any swimming in, not sure how the sunbaking will go down with the pebbles...
Can't wait to do some more travelling - at the moment just working and saving because the money tin is pretty much empty and getting sorted in my new place - london is so expensive, its hard to save up!!
will 'blog' again soon
Miss all you guys back home!
peace
