Initially our plan was to head off to Dunsborough straight after breakfast but we were expecting a call from the real estate agent to go in and sign for the house around midday so we spent the morning running around getting the kids registered at school!! Nick did all their registrations while I sat in the car with the dog and both schools couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We've decided to split the twins next year and they will have separate classes for the first time - Matty is delighted and Jonny is not!! We went back to the van for lunch, packed everything up and by 2pm had had enough of sitting around so decided to head off to Dunsborough instead of wait for the agent to ring - we could come back and do the paperwork another day. We left the van where it was still attached to power for the fridge and waved it a sad farewell - it looked very strange without all our junk spread out around it! The trip down to the in-laws was easy and only took an hour. Nick's parents had very generously given us their house for three weeks over Christmas so that we had somewhere to stay, while they were going to head to Perth and stay with Nick's sister. The kids shot into each of their rooms and loved the space of it all immediately. They unpacked their little bags and their rooms were soon a tip with all the free toys they had collected from McDonalds over the last year - how sad!! Grandma had given them all a stack of books each and they spent the rest of the afternoon reading them all. We sat and had a coffee and then took the dog for a walk along Geographe Bay, which was beautiful. The water was crystal clear and there were lots of Sting Rays swimming around. Tally tried to play with Grandma's dog, Illy, but Illy wasn't keen!! We went home and had a lovely dinner of Roast Chicken and the kids all got excited about having a bath - shame there isn't one in the new rental. At bedtime we had an hour of everyone swapping rooms and in the end Jonny ended up in our room on a camp bed, as no one wanted to sleep alone! Poppy Jon and Grandma slept in their caravan in their drive and Nick and I spent the night up and down with the dog each time she changed position frightened she was about to wee on the carpet!!
