We were woken at 11pm by Katharine vomiting in the sink. We're not really sure why, unless she had gotten too hot, as she then felt fine and slept for the rest of the night. We got up around 7am and had coffee outside while the kids watched TV in our bed. Nick had to head into work today to meet his new colleagues and it was terrible having to keep an eye on the time - we haven't had to do that for 12 months!! He also had to put on some proper shoes!! I dropped him off at the High School around 1030am. It is a stunning school perched on a hill overlooking the beach and Katharine seemed very happy with what she saw as we drove around it. I took the kids to the bakery and picked up chocolate croissants again then walked a different section of the dog beach. Once back in the car we went off to find a playground and ended up having a drive around East Bunbury and Koombana Bay. Dogs weren't allowed at the bay so we decided to head home instead and Nick rang to be collected just as we were heading off. Once we'd picked him up we returned to the van for lunch and spent an hour reading before heading back out again. This time we drove around the suburbs looking for holiday rentals for mum and dad next year. When the kids had had enough of being in the car, Nick dropped me off in town to do some shopping and then took them to a park to play. I had an hour to explore the central plaza and found some great cafes to try at a later date. Back at the van we had another coffee and read for a while and then got back in the car yet again and headed out for dinner. We got fish and chips and took it down to the beach to eat and they were sensational. Once we'd finished we took Tally for a walk along the sand and she got to play with a number of other pups. We saw a dolphin in the shallows too and watched the sunset, which was very pretty. On the way home we found a few houses with some great Christmas light displays but after a while the kids had had enough and just wanted to go home. They went straight to bed and were asleep within minutes - so was the dog!!
