In Austin I did a music crawl which took us to three different venues for good music and some drinking. I met a woman who had just come back from Paris. The last stop was Threadgills where a group called Deadeye covered Grateful Dead music to the extent that they duplicate concerts song for song. Deadheads attempt to determine which concert they are duplicating. Threadgills has a full restaurant and it seems the Sunday brunch is a big attraction. The music is played in an outside area. The second venue was the White Horse described as an east side honky-tonk. The band name was the Merles the only group to include a woman singer. LBJ library is really quite impressive. To my surprise they had a Beatle exhibition going. The exhibit included other musicians of that time Buddy Holly's guitar, James Brown's suit, the Beach Boys and everything Beatles.
