diane Hello travellers, The Natural Garden Tour was the 21Sept and on this day we celebrated Charlotte's 4th b'day. and unfortunately Garden Works had run out of the info over a week prior to the tour. Had an e-mail from Gaye but have not signed up for more lessons yet. Just back from hols and catching up with your Blog - what fabby pics of Quebec city - Christian and I went on hols there some years ago (before coming over to see you) and we LOVED it. Very French and the old buildings are so lovely n'est-ce-pas. Your pics brought it all back - and YES, we stayed in Chateau Frontignac ... where else could us posh people possibly stay! Deb Hi again - Oh hang on, cat fight outside. Ok, all settled again - Coal is our only cat that gets on with the neighbourhood cats. Everyone else around fights with everyone else. Sigh. Today so far has been glorious weather wise but the clouds are starting to appear somewhat. Yesterday was wet off and on. The past week has been lovely also. I have been wondering, what happens if you get the math question wrong that comes with posting a message on this blog. Ok random monent finished now. Yes as Diane said the bear has been making a nusience of itself and so we have not been putting garbage out at your place. Just the odd brown leaf bag. Our dryer stopped drying today so Sarah and I took wet laundry up to your place Mom and dried it there. Also washed a couple of blankets while we were at it. We gave some tomats to Edie. Will have to call the Maytag repair man tomorrow. Our first call in 24 years. Not too shabby. All in all things are going well here. Sarah has more on her plate with more schooling than before, Em is basically back to her normal schedule with a plus. Her Stef has now moved here from France so her time has also got busier. Peter and myself are pretty much the same though. Don't hurry home on our account. With fall coming and the odd rain fall things are even easier with your place. Take care and give Mr. Ted a hug for me. :) Oh, and the sun is back out in ful force.

Deb Hello you three. You guys have become a topic of conversation with some of my regular customers at work. They want to know where you have arrived to now. We have had lots of huge campers pulling in for gas - some towed and some driveing ones - and I think how nice to have the size you have. But storage must be a problem on long trips for bringing things back. Such a pack rat I am. This is a glorious morning, sun has been strong all week, my laundry is on, dishes done, and my tea sitting beside my keyboard. Our Fall colours are also a bit late starting due to the hotter days but the mornings do have the dews and the damps to them. I notice it more on the car windows driving to work. Oh your bear is back Mom - if it ever went away that is - but no damage is being done, at least to your place hehe. The neighbourhood has had it's share of stolen garbage though. Oh my laundry just finished - gotto go. Hope you like your new chair Pat :)

Diane Third time lucky. I am really enjoying your blog. What an adventure. Fasinated by the large pumpkin as my squash was the size of a small tomato and has now been pulled up. The cooler weather has arrived, doesn't feel like we had any summer. A bear has been in my garden at least 4 different times, so no feeding of the poor birds I hope they find more food elsewhere. Wendy is in Canada from Mazatlan and will be staying with me Sept 9th for a while. Great. I have started doing arthritis exercises in the pool mostly women but three men join us old biddies. Might be a help for Pat? they are great for me.Ruth just phoned, so I am baby sitting this P.M. No 3 is 2 months on the way. Have done a little painting but nothing any good. Pat and Jenny A moose is much larger than a caribou.It has long, thin, dangly legs.It has a very long nose and a thing shaped like a bell hanging from its throat.Jenny believes it's just the male that has this.They are dark brown or black, and are about 7ft. high.A caribou is very similar to a reindeer- it's shorter and chunkier and is a fawn colour.Both have antlers, but are a different shape.Thanks for contributing to the message board on the blog - not too many people are doing that. Alison "Fundys" - like the sound of them. Hope you get lots of Fundys on your birthday tomorrow Pat ... and Jenny, don't you be giving him any of those Irish cobblers now - you just behave yourself! Christian is asking - it's been so long sincce we saw any).

Deb Taters. I like the sound of that word. It just rolls off the tongue so nice. You know it was funny that right after Pat was able to get his draft your next camping spot was right outside the liquor store. You have not been missing out much here on the weather just lately. We may not have had the fog you have had but the rain just keeps coming on down. This long weekend has turned out nice and the week ahead is looking good also so may have to revise my weather complaints. We pick up Emily this evening from the airport. Oh I can't wait. The month has not gone by all that fast for me here at home. I think she will be a few shades darker than the rest of us here. There have been no new bear sightings and your apple tree is doing well even though it is more horizontal than vertical. The apples are getting nice and fat and taste good too. We may even leave you a few hehe. Pat, I forgot to count the pears on your tree. Will do that next time. Well we are off over town now and will write again soon.

Miranda and Gordon Still no moose but the caribou looks good. I see Alison is interested in Moose too - must be a sister thing! At least it looks like the weather is better for you now, and it all looks very picturesque and a whole lot cleaner than Kathmandu. Though I'm sure Marigold would love a trip round the Himalayas - what d'you think. Anyway Pat, I've remembered your birthday this year so hope you have a great day for it on Wednesday. We'll have a Daal baht for you!

Alison The Cariboo looks like has a headache - maybe a hard day's night yesterday? I always called them "Moose" (or Mouse, Mousse, or whatever). What's the difference between a caribou and a moose? Christian and I ate in The Canny Man pub last night - we sat under a gigantic moose head ...the first I've seen in Scotland!

Alison Hey Ho Cap'n, 1st Mate and Mr Ted, I sent this to the wrong place so you'll have two emails Pat. You're certainly clocking up the miles - have to, to keep wram I expect. Sounds great though and is great fun keeping up with you - feels a bit like I'm travelling with you in the comfort of my arm chair! Would've loved to see the moose 'n mooselet though. Hope you get to see the Aurora B some time - maybe a tot or two of rum would help. Glad you're feeling fitter Pat - keep taking the pills! Nothing much here in Scotalnd - rain, rain, rain. Though where's the photo of the moose - we expect more action shots, maybe a video of you about to crash into it? Anyway, sounds like you're having a great time though I hope Pat's arthritis settles down and doesn't cause too much irritation.
