Up bright and early this morning after a good night's sleep. The showers are extremely powerful and woke us all up! Especially in Amber's room where the shower had a life of it own and sprayed the whole bathroom! We had a delicious breakfast of cereals, yogurt, fruit, cheese, ham, bread, and plenty of those delicious croissants that somehow taste much better than the ones you buy in Tesco. After our French McDonalds lunch, we headed for Nonant to the Drakkar Chocolate Museum. We got a bit lost so were a little late but we enjoyed a tour and talk all about the origins and making of chocolate. We all enjoyed the package if sweets we were all given - délicieux! Later we headed over to Caen castle and had a walk through the town, before returning to the hotel for spaghetti bolognese. Next came our bowling trip. We got into teams, ready to do battle....

The weather is lovely and we have had a great start to the trip. We settled into the hotel, then went down to the shopping centre for a look around the shops and the Carrefour supermarket.
