Back on the bus and along the coast road to Arromanches to visit the 360 degree cinema. We watched a film about the D-Day landings, which was really moving. The 360 degree sound and image, together with the use of primary source media, really brought WWII to life. The view of the sea and beach was stunning. The gift shop was well used afterwards! On the way home we stopped for a browse through the quaint town of Bayeux (we didn't get to see the tapestry though), before continuing on back to the hotel for dinner. After dinner, we made use of the hotel's Salle de Réunion to update our diaries and have a mini awards ceremony where pupils were given awards for Best Use of French (Georgina) and Best Use of Gangnam Style in a Bowling Alley (Rhys)!
