Wayne's & Bonnie's Travels
I'm obvious falling behind so I'll try to pedal faster. It's the day after the day we spent in Bamburg. We spent the morning leisurely cruising down the river. After lunch we took a walking tour through Bamberg. It is another quaint German town. It is actually quite active and vibrant - about half the population are students. After the tour it started to rain. We found shelter in a Biergarten. Bamberg has a unique smoked dark beer called Rauchbier. The most popular is Schlenkerla. It has the very strong taste of smoked bacon. It is supposed to be an acquired taste. I guess I'm a fast learner - I loved it. Bonnie was very happy with her Pilsner.
