After landing in Rome we of course had to wait for our bags and forced our driver to wait an hour before we finally made it out of the airport.Driving from the airport seemed as though maybe were in the wrong country, the landscape was bleak and tattered, it honestly looked as I would picture Saudi Arabia or maybe some third world country in Africa. There seemed to be no rules on the roads, cars drove where they pleased at the speed of their choice. However it seemed as though all Italians were excellent drivers because there were no incidences along the way.Moving into the apartment we found it exactly as we had expected, maybe even a little nicer.Once we settled in we found our colleagues living in Trastevere and followed them to a little pizzeria for a fairly delicious slice.
