We woke up this morning just in time for breakfast and quickly went down to grab it. After we came back to the room and I went to sleep for a bit, while Shivani read. We were being pretty lazy here but the was not much to do so we were just taking the time to relax.
We eventually decided to leave the room at around 2pm. Shivani had made a plan to visit the park, mall and then go to a Brazilian traffic light BBQ. We first set off to get some food for Shivani, as I was saving myself for the evening. We went to the food court where we had lunch yesterday and Shivani had the burrito again. As we were about to leave we bumped into Nimmi and Mitul and chatted to them for a while. We aimed to meet up with them in Rio.
We then headed towards the park. We decided to walk, it was not that hot today and was quite cloudy. The walk took about 30 minutes but when we got to the edge of the park it started raining. We made the call to jump in a taxi and skip the park. We managed to get a photo of the Xmas tree and obelisk that we had come to see from the taxi.
We took the taxi to the mall which was a short ride away. Shivani was looking for a white dress for new years so we went round the whole mall looking for it. The mall was quite big but it didn't take that long to get round. We ended up in C&A where Shivani tried on every white dress they had before settling on one.
It was now quite late and we headed over for dinner. The place was only a few blocks away, so we walked. On arriving we were greeted with a window full of rotating meat. It looked good!! We took our seats inside and ordered some wine, which turned out to be really good. We then went to the salad buffet which had a wide selection of fresh stuff. I only took a little and then sat down and turned my coaster to green. Very quickly I had 3 different meats on my plate and turned my coaster to red. The food was really good and the meat came out hot and tasty. I had about six or seven different types and cuts. It was really satisfying, they tasted different but were all good in their own right. Shivani had a good few rounds of salad and was happy too.
At the end we ordered some dessert and I got a large measure of whiskey. It had been a good meal and I was glad we had come. We then got in a taxi and made our way home. The taxi driver took us to the wrong place but we were close enough to take a much needed walk home. It was midnight when we got back and I went to sleep while Shivani read her book. We would have to get up early tomorrow for our bus to Rio.
