So the first NP we wanted to visit is Shenandoah, and from there our plan is to continue to the Great Smoky mountains, and follow the Appalachian train all the way to Alabama. We had a rough start. We got stuck in the mud for almost a whole day, but finally we were on the road excited to start our trip to 'the south'. Our first stop - Shenandoah national park. We found a friendly campground - The country Waye - in Luray, VA. Very close to the caverns and not so far from the park.
