Bowral, NSW
Bowral, New South Wales
Not long home from a weekend in the Southern Highlands, 2 hours north of Canberra . Stayed Saturday night at Peppers Craigieburn at Bowral . Very pleasant. Thanks Fi and Dave.
Left home with the temp at 28 deg c and arrived at a misty Bowral with 14 deg c. Craigieburn was originally a working farm but was developed as a holiday destination in the early 1900s. It has been built up to be a substantial holiday resort with tennis courts, golf course and spa facility.
Sunday morning, drove to the Illawarra Fly. The fly is an elevated skywalk above the treetops looking out to the Wollongong coastline. Fantastic views, highly recommended trip. Sandra managed to go to the top of the central tower, some 45 metres above the forest floor.
Headed home after lunch at the famous Robertson Pie Shop.

Dave Yay - I want to go on the Illawarra Fly!!!
Alan Am I going to have to get my head round these unusual place names? I'll need to get a good map of Australia to follow these adventures. Note to self !
