Travelling today from Phu Quoc to Can Tho on the Mekong Delta. The Mekong river flows through China, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and is 10th longest river in the world. Walked along the river in the afternoon, then into town.

Last day in Phu Quoc so relaxing on the beach & swimming in the sea. Had quite a lot of rain last night with thunder & lightening - Dave & Spencer were hiding under the bed! Spencer is happy to be on the beach, photos in the wild pineapple tree & the round boat used by the local fishermen.

Tour of the south of the island of Phu Quoc. Did a tour of a fish sauce factor, phew what a smell (anchovies marinaded in salt for one year!) relaxing on south beach now Bai Sao, beautiful sand and clear blue ocean. Perhaps if I learn to cook I can stay here ;-)

Bike ride to Cua Dai beach, avoiding mopeds going the wrong way up the street! Watched fisherman out on the coracles, amazing little round boats. also rode bikes around Cam Nam island, a good way to see local life without too many tourists - saw some guys making shoes with all the leather pieces on the floor of a house. Shopping is very good here, especially the silk (might have needed another suitcase if I hadn't run out of time!) Lovely dinner with Raj & ...

Breakfast overlooking the river. Can't believe the place was under water a few days ago! Explored the town - Japanese covered bridge, Phuoc Kien assembly hall, history & culture museum, Tan Ky house where we saw the 2m water line from 8th Nov :-( relax lunch in Tam Tam cafe overlooking the street, spotted our Ozzie friends from the boat. We both had a massage this afternoon so out on the balcony relaxing now. Off to Green Mango for dinner, if I can get dave...
