Ciao from Florence! We made it here early yesterday morning. It was our first airconditioned train ride and our first airconditioned room to sleep in...and unfortuntely Ryan wass sicker than a dog! He had a fever... I think...he was hot to touch! He would get chills and kept thinkign he was going to get sick all day....So we took it pretty easy in Florence. We walked around a bit and went to a few of the town squares and looked at all of the old churches. Unfortunately we didnà t make it in any of them because the lines were so long. With Ryan being sick we just decided to view the outsides...which was still cool! We never made it to the statue of david either....but that is just an excuse to come back right!? We also walked around the Boboli gardens for a little bit...basically we were a bit to ambitious in Florence!
We went to Ponte Vecchio (an old bridge), which is liek the only bridge that was left standing in Florence after WWII. Very cool! Then it was nap time! Ryan needed rest! and I needed a new leather wallet....so it all worked out! After resting we went to Piazzelle Michelangelo to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. We literally watched it fall beneath the horizon. So cool. I dont think I have ever seen that before! Then we walked to a restaurant that Kelly told us about. OMG best Italian food ever! We got free champagne and a free appetizer sampler...It was interesting something with liver, figs, salami, eggplant, raw fish....I liked it...Ryan not so much
Our train left for Rome at 7 this moring and Ryan is feeling much better! So today should be a fun day!
We watched London CNN today and it said it ws going to be 98 degrees in Rome! Hope you all are staying cool! If we make it to the Vatican we will pray for rain!
(again I apologize for the typos, poor grammar, mispelled words, and lack of apostrophes! these keyboards are so different!)
