Got up a little later than usual for some reason and made the 11 am shuttle bus into town. Found Venice more beautiful than I remembered. Had a good walk around the town getting thoroughly lost but in a good way. Crossed the Academia Bridge on the way and wound up at San Marco square along with many tourists and even more pigeons. Got brave and managed to walk through them, was an ordeal! Walked through the square and headed for the water. Saw the Bridge of Sighs tho under construction on one side. Headed off on the boat to the island of Murano, beautiful ride out and arrived 45 mins later. Went to the glass blowing factory. Saw a 'master' blow glass, really impressive. He made an ornate horse all in one go. Bought a necklace in a little shop and went for a mini exploration of the island. Didn't get very far, ended up in the industrial area. Arrived back at the boat stop and was cheeky and caught the express one back. Arrived back to San Marco and headed off to attempt to find the Rialto bridge. Another confusing wander through the streets lead me eventually there. A bustly place to put it mildly, good atmopshere tho. Walked over and headed towards bus stop. Struggled finding the stop but was soon travelling back to the campsite. Was very tired after long day and had a bit of an early night after dinner with some of the others.
