Bus at 8. Ended up waiting 25 mins for really drunk girl, she stank the bus out with alcohol as she boarded. Found it vaguely amusing but people that cant look out for themselves are starting to annoy me, really not that hard!! Bus ride much quicker than I thought and arrived in St Johann about 10 30. Had an excellent bbq fry up, hostel owner cooked it out the front of the hostel on bus arrival days. Checked into the Bunny's Pub hostel and realised that all the people staying were really cool, very happy. Got even better as we went to our rooms. I had booked a dorm but ended up with a double room to myself, oh the joy! In fact all the rooms were really nice and the hostel had a great feel to it. Went and nosed at all the rooms which meant I got talking to three Kiwis. Found a kitchen as well so Carly and Teresa (Brits from Bromley) and I agreed to club together and cook that night. Have lots of extreme sports here so asked a heap of questions to the owner and booked into paraglide at 2pm. Thought it was best just to book and not think too much. Had a couple of hours to kill so Carly, Teresa and the Kiwis (Lisa, Laura and Cristal) and me went for a wander around the town. Very pretty little town, only one main road but had most of the necessary shops ie Spar. Then headed towards the meeting point for my paraglide and sat and waited for a bit. Teresa went on the bungy trampoline and was v funny to watch as all the others were little kids! Paraglide dude came and said it was too windy so ended up postponing it to 9am tomoro. Wasn't overly bothered as wasn't feeling too nervous. Ended up having a great afternoon tho. At the meeting point there was also a summer toboggan, basically with a concrete slide not snow. all 6 of us piled onto the chair lift up the mountain to the start of the slide. Can race as two slopes but none of us were too keen. Was so much fun, went pretty fast and had a huge slide that meant the rest of the track was invisible for a bit! Came down and really wanted to do it again so Cristal gave me and Teresa her ticket as she'd been given a triple. Swapped slide this time, no big slide but much faster. Then the three Brits went to the pool. Big outdoor/indoor place with a couple of slides and heated outside pool. Went on the chutes and acted like small children as there were no supervisors. Very funny afternoon. ended up exhausted and v hungry tho. Headed back to the hostel and cooked up a storm! Really great meal, no bread or potato, a miracle. Half the plate was veg, really missing it now I can't have it! Were all stuffed when finished so cleared up and chatted for a bit but soon went to my room and read my book and enjoyed having some peace and quiet. Went to sleep fairly early as had early start.
